Hi, I'm Mark

My Family

My family and I have lived in Camden County since 2009. We are proud members of Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church and our children have attended the Elevate Student Ministries, youth group.

My wife and I have been married for 20 years (which officially makes her a saint). I am the proud father of two children. My daughter Ashlyn is the 69th Miss Dogwood. She is a 2019 graduate of the School of the Osage and is currently attending UCM to obtain her BSN degree. My son JP is a freshman at School of the Osage and a member of the high school football, basketball, track, and baseball teams.

Over the past several years I have immersed my self into the community and youth activities. I coached flag football, tackle football and youth basketball via OYAC & OFL. I love participating in programs such as; Polar Plunge and Shop with a Cop.

My wife is invested in the community by volunteering & serving on the school of the Osage Parent, Teacher, Student Association Board (also known as OFP High School Tribe) as the President and She was also the chair to SOTO's project graduation 2019 committee.

Putting My Experience to Work For Camden County

As a former business owner, I had the responsibility of putting the right people in the right positions to obtain maximum success.  One of my responsibilities as a business owner was to make sure our project budgets were maintained. It was important to me that I provided a safe and effective work environment while providing a positive atmosphere. The culture reflected my beliefs and values and, in turn, my crew was more effective, efficient, and fulfilled in the work they did.

After moving to Missouri, I graduated from Mizzou's Law Enforcement Training Institute, which is one of the best academies in the state and arguably in the mid-west. I began my Law Enforcement career in Camden County in 2011 and have served the people here ever since. During my career, I made sure to obtain the training I needed to better serve my community. Since my time at the Sheriff’s Office, in addition to road deputy I have been a member of several specialized units that include:

  • Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force (ICAC)

  • Sexual Assault Response Team (SART)

  • Major Case Squad

  • Camden County Street Crimes Task Force

  • Liaison between CCSO and Lake Area Narcotics Enforcement Group (LANEG)

  • Criminal Investigation Division (CID)

  • Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) (Entry Certified)

During my time as an investigator, I have worked and solved countless cases involving; homicides, suicides, sexual assaults, child abuse, sex crimes involving children and drug investigations. I was proud to be part of the entry team for the Camden County SWAT team.

I have worked with our local and State Law Enforcement including Federal Agencies such as ATF, FBI, DEA, and DOR to solve cases. I have had the privilege of working with the unsung heroes in a lot of these cases like the men and women of Lake Regional Hospital, Kids Harbor, Citizens Against Domestic Violence and Children’s Division.

During my tenure, I was awarded the Distinguished Service Medal and a Letter of Commendation.
